My interest is to do a geographic survey with an android tablet, but the tablet will be offline, I would like to have an offline map background that I can use with the GPS receiver. Google maps offline kinda works, but you run the risk of clearing your cache. Other apps such as mapdroyd and locus maps are better for offline usage.
